Lil Snupe (Born Addarren Ross on June 13, 1995) was a rapper from Jonesboro, Louisiana that was shot and killed in Winnfield, Louisiana on June 20th, 2013. Lil Snupe was closely affiliated with Rapper Meek Mill and was signed to his label Dream Chasers prior to his shooting death. The duo met while Meek Mill was touring, Snupe approached Meek while he was next to his tour bus and handed him his mixtape, Meek was impress and Lil Snupe soon started his short rise to fame.

Lil Snupe was shot and killed by 36-year-old Tony Holden on June 20, 2013 at the young age of 18; 7 days after tweeting how lucky he was to see 18 since many individuals from his neighborhood don’t get to see 18. His death shocked the Hip Hop community due to the fact he had so much potential and was already signed to one of the biggest rap labels in the industry. Investigators later revealed that the reason Tony Holden shot Lil Snupe was because of a video game bet gone wrong in Holden’s apartment complex.

Tony Holden turned himself in to authorities’ on June 26, 2013, days after being charged with the murder of Lil Snupe. Another suspect, 21-year-old Louisiana man Edrick Stewart, was also charged in connection with the death of Lil Snupe.
