Put In Work (Slang Meaning)

Put in Work is a slang term which means that you are actively taking part in the illegal activities your crew partakes in. It can be anything from getting money selling narcotics to doing hits on rival gang members.

Put In Work Example

In the Hip-Hop song ‘Put In Work’ by Lil Jojo featuring P. Rico, Lil Jojo raps, “They not with the sh*ts they don't put in work - I'm counting so much money, my fingers hurt - Shooting all these guns, my fingers hurt.” Lil Jojo is essentially saying, unlike others that don’t put in work, he’s out there getting money and taking out rival gang members.
