Dart Gang

Dart Gang is a moniker embraced by certain members of the Black Disciples gang in Chicago to honor a fallen member named Dart, who tragically succumbed to head trauma. In Chicago, it is customary for gang members to adopt nicknames in remembrance of their deceased comrades. These nicknames can represent the gang itself, such as 'Dart Gang,' or their specific territory, like 'O-Block,' an area they closely associate with. Dart Gang signifies a select group of individuals who are fiercely loyal and would go to great lengths for their late member, Dart.

Cultural Impact

The influence of Dart Gang extends beyond the streets and into music, where it has been immortalized in the lyrics of various rap songs by Black Disciples' artists. Notably, Chief Keef, a prominent figure within the 300 Gang, mentions Dart Gang in his song 'John Madden,' where he raps, "Dart gang, it's a dart game." This reference underscores the deep-rooted connection and respect within the community. Similarly, Lil Reese, another 300 member, pays homage to Dart in his track "Letz Do A Drill," expressing his grief and determination with the line, "Just lost Dart, so you know I'm going ludicrous."
