Getting Started
Creating a page in the wiki is straightforward. Locate the "Create New Wiki" box on the left, input your desired page title, and click "Create/Edit."
Crafting or modifying wiki pages is intuitive. This guide will walk you through the essentials of creating a wiki page, including adding visuals. Use the tabs above to explore the basic functionalities for wiki creation. Please adhere to the following rules and guidelines, which are strictly enforced.
- NO PLAGIARISM - Do not copy and paste content from other websites. Instead, rephrase the material in your own words. Copied content will be promptly removed.
- Language - Ensure all articles are in English and refrain from using profanities unless absolutely necessary.
- Content can span a variety of topics, excluding pornographic material. While any subject is welcome, we prefer topics with a focus on Hip Hop.
- Ensure your wiki entries are clear and concise, aiming for a minimum of 300 words when feasible.
- Violation of these rules, especially plagiarism, may result in account termination.
Armed with this foundational knowledge, click on a tab above to learn the nuances of creating or editing wiki pages.
Page Title
Selecting a page title requires careful thought to ensure clarity. Here are a few guidelines for different types of pages. Refrain from using special characters like (,?,/, etc., unless absolutely necessary.
- Bio - Use the individual's full name. If a page with the same name exists or if they have a common name like "50 Cent," append their profession, e.g., "50 Cent (Rapper)."
- Slangs and Definitions - Format definitions as "Word or phrase (Slang Meaning)." For example, "Yolo (Slang Meaning)" or "Yolo (Slang Definition)."
- Gangs - For major gangs like 'Gangster Disciples,' use the gang's name alone unless it's a common word, like 'Bloods.' In such cases, use "Bloods (Gang)." For gang sets, format as "Set Name (Gang Name Set)," e.g., "600 (Black Disciples Gang Set)."
Wiki Editor Buttons
When crafting a wiki page, you can select between two editors. The "WYSIWYG" (What You See Is What You Get) editor is user-friendly, instantly reflecting your changes. Alternatively, the "Wiki editor (wiki codes)" is more technical. To toggle between editors, use the "Wiki Editor Choice" button.
Most editor buttons are self-explanatory. Hover over them to see their functions. For intricate buttons, separate tabs offer detailed instructions. The image below illustrates commonly used buttons for editing or creating a wiki page.
