Insane Gangster City Knights Gang Information
The Insane Gangster City Knights, often abbreviated as CKs, CKN, or ICKN, originated in Chicago, Illinois. This gang is predominantly composed of Latino members and is aligned with the Folks Nation. The Chess Knight, Reaper, and Sickle are their emblematic symbols, and their distinct colors are black and grey.
Insane Gangster City Knights Gang History
Emerging in the late 1980s at the intersection of 48th and Wood in Chicago, the Insane Gangster City Knights began as a neutral group, unaffiliated with the Folks or People alliance. The formation of the City Knights was a response to continuous conflicts with the Saints and the Satan Disciples, with the latter being part of the Folks Nation and the Saints remaining neutral. Initially, the City Knights maintained a brief alliance with the Party Players, but tensions escalated in the 1990s, leading to a violent feud that forced the Party Players to vacate 48th Street.
By 1994, the City Knights had forged an alliance with the 51st and Wood Satan Disciples, effectively ending their hostilities with the SDs. This alliance ushered in their transition to the Insane Gangster City Knights and their subsequent incorporation into the Folks Nation under the Satan Disciples' guidance. Throughout the 1990s, the CKs engaged in intermittent clashes with the Two Sixs, a conflict that persists today. Between 1997 and 2001, they were embroiled in battles with Laraza and have had sporadic disputes with the Latin Souls.
In the mid-1990s, members of the City Knights expanded their territory by establishing a new branch in Waukegan, Illinois. They further extended their presence to Elgin, Illinois, and set up on the corner of 58th and Albany in 2000. Although alliances are rare, the CKs maintain a relationship with the Satan Disciples. Their association with the Party Players dissolved once the CKs joined the Folks Nation.
