J Da Kidd is a prominent drill rapper hailing from Chicago, Illinois. His rise to notoriety gained momentum in 2015 following a harrowing incident where he survived after being shot five times during a violent confrontation involving the infamous Chicago rapper, Lil Jay. Among J Da Kidd's most popular tracks are "F*ck Em," "Watch Out," and "Different," which have garnered significant attention in the drill music scene.

In recounting the turbulent events, J Da Kidd reveals that his crew and Lil Jay's crew initially maintained amicable relations due to a shared acquaintance. However, this connection deteriorated when their mutual friend faced incarceration. J Da Kidd suggests that Lil Jay's associates might have played a role in this incarceration. The situation escalated in 2015 when Lil Jay and members of his crew attempted a robbery against J Da Kidd, culminating in a gunfight. The aftermath left J Da Kidd with five gunshot wounds, while one of Lil Jay's friends tragically lost his life. Consequently, Lil Jay faced charges related to his friend's death and received a five-year prison sentence.
