Jewels "Dougo" Selvie, at the age of 19, was an active member of 50 Strong, a faction of the notorious Gangster Disciples in Chicago, Illinois. Tragically, in 2011, his life was cut short in a drive-by shooting. Despite extensive investigations, the authorities were unable to apprehend the shooter, though it is widely believed that a rival gang member from the Folly Boyz was responsible. This attack was a retaliation for earlier incidents where 50 Strong had been involved in the deaths of Folly Boy members—Zach, B-luv it, and Mac. The loss of Dougo, a beloved figure within 50 Strong, ignited a fierce desire for vengeance, resulting in further violence and the deaths of two more Folly Boy members, Kamakazi Mazi and Zio.
