Lakeside is a faction of the Gangster Disciples located in the Lakeside area of Chicago's South Side. This particular group gained notoriety following the rise of rappers Lil Bibby and Lil Herb. Both artists are affiliated with No Limit, a rival group of Lakeside. No Limit has formed an alliance with the Muskegon Boyz, collectively known as 'NLMB'.
In October 2013, Lil Jay posted tweets claiming that Lil Bibby ran away during a chance encounter, even though Lil Jay only intended to greet him. This incident marked the beginning of hostility between Lil Jay's gang, Tooka Gang, and NLMB. By 2014, Lil Jay had collaborated with various Lakeside rappers like Jackboi Boomain, TBeastie, and Birdy Montana to remix the track 'Chiraq,' which was a diss aimed at NLMB, titled 'NLMBK'.
