Authorities reported that the incident began when police observed Lil B engaging in a hand-to-hand drug exchange on the 6200 block of South Eberhart. The chase culminated in a gangway between two buildings on the 6200 block of South Rhodes, where Lil B allegedly brandished a firearm at the officers. Despite commands to drop the weapon, he did not comply, resulting in the officers opening fire.
Lil B Implicated in J Money's Murder
Jerome "J Money" Wood, a rival affiliate of the Black Disciples from O'Block, was gunned down on September 2, 2013, in the 6600 block of South Rhodes Avenue. In the aftermath of Lil B's death, several STLEBT members attributed the murder of J Money to Lil B, further intensifying the gang rivalry.
